Because we don't believe in living in sin, K and I are also hitching up in May so that we can move into our new house. Well, maybe that's not the only reason but hey, it's one reason. I proposed on April 12th last year and the planning is in full swing. We are having the ceremony and the reception at Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park on May 1st. I'd invite you but we're paying for most of it ourselves so I have to decide if you're worth it. We have found our caterer, No Worries Catering, our photographer, KAM Photography (I'd include a link but I can't find one right now), and our officiant (again, no link because I'm incompetent). There are still a million details that have to get worked out and the fact that we have chosen to do two of life's most stressful things at the same time tells you what amazing overachievers we are. Stop laughing. There will be more here as we go along. K met with the caterer today to discuss menu, cake design and what not as well as drop another significant amount of cash off (Friendly advice: If you're paying for your own wedding, have it on a Sunday, it's much cheaper. If someone else is paying for it, have it on a Saturday.) We'll have more information here as we go along and I hope to have K contributing her thoughts, feelings and experiences as well, not just here but anywhere she chooses. |
