In other news, Radio continues to suck major ass. It continually hangs on the FTP connection and I'm sure that if I were to research it or bring it up, they'd say it's because I'm no longer getting updates. If and/or when I ever get back into this blogging deal on a semi-half-ass basis, it will be with another content management provider. Off to republish this months archives after I reboot to unhang Radio's pitiful FTP client.

Why does Radio insist on using up 50-95% of my CPU just to upload files to my web host?

So glad I didn't renew my license this year.

This is a test to see if Patrick Ritchie's MasterPing works for Radio to ping Technorati and blo.gs. We'll know as soon as dfwblogs.com refreshes again.

Well, the blog seems to be completely functional at this point. The blogroll issue was related to problems at the new hosting site and everything else is back to normal. I'll be writing more here in the coming days and months I hope, though I can't promise that it will be any more entertaining than past posts.

More Radio issues. My permalinks are completely FUBARed (ED. Do you think anyone wants to link here anyway? -- No but I'm getting obsessive compulsive about things being in the right order of the world) and I can't find anything that tells me how to fix it. Just more evidence that Radio is built for people who don't care and people who are complete geeks but not for anyone in the middle. So frustrating.

This will be the third year that I've paid $49.95 to Userland for software that to me is very difficult to troubleshoot. That's half the price of CityDesk. This may be the year when this stuff pushes me over the edge.

Ok after some pretty frustrating work, I think I've finally gotten all the links on my blog up-to-date and correct. I was having the most trouble with the Category links and had to modify the macro for my home page template to get that done. The documentation for this seems to be non-existent and it took a lot of trial and error to get it done. I think this further proves that Radio is great for users who only want to write a blog or for geeks who really like to dig into the guts of things. For those of us who are somewhere in between, Radio seems to not really provide much help.
