Medicare is now covering some obesity cases which to my libertarian mind seems bizarre. But if the government can do that, can't we do something about all the ugly people? Seems like Medicare ought to cover plastic surgery too or at least plastic bags with holes in it. If you're obese AND ugly, you can file twice.

After a three week layoff, played golf again tonight in my employer's league, shooting 39. Not bad really and the new putter is completely worth the money. That ought to put me back towards the top of the pack but I'm going to have to play hard for 3 more weeks.

This man truly deserves to be honored and revered. To show no bitterness towards a state that imprisoned him for 41 years on a false confession is amazing. If the people who performed the physical coercion on him are still alive, they are worthy of penalties worse than death. To murder a man is one thing, to steal his life and leave him living is abhorrent.

And while we're on good news, Cleveland signed Kellen Winslow II (yes that's his real name, he's a distant cousin to Thurston Howell III) today. Winslow has great talent and with Jeff Garcia in Cleveland now, he'll have a target to throw to. If only Butch Davis won't screw things up, though that's not anything I'm willing to be dollars to Krispy Kremes on.
